Chapter 1521
Seraphina remained quiet and observed Renee to test her theory.
“Seraphina?” Renee turned towards Seraphina and asked indifferently.
“So, you finally noticed me.” Seraphina crossed her arms in front of her chest and studied Renee carefully. She was certain that there was something wrong with Renee’s eyes, but Renee seemed strangely calm.
“Of course.” Renee sat on a chair, pointed at the vacant seat beside her, and said casually, “I’ve been waiting for you to come to me, but I didn’t expect you to take this long to do it. Rather generous of you.”
Seraphina’s doubts grew. Although Renee was wearing a pair of sunglasses and looked like a blind person, her actions and behavior didn’t add up. Taking a deep breath, Seraphina sat on the vacant chair beside Renee. “You’re being generous too. It’s funny that you’re so enthusiastic and friendly towards your enemy.”
However, Renee quietly picked up a cup of coffee and sipped it before touching Abby’s head. “Go and play with Margaret, Abby. I’ll chat with her for a bit.”
“No, she looks like a bad person. I’m afraid that she’ll bully you.” Abby hugged Renee tightly and glared at Seraphina.” Plus, I’m sure she’s here to snatch Daddy away. I’ll never let her have her way!”
“Don’t worry, Abby. He’ll always be your daddy and no one can snatch him away. I’m just going to chat with her about your daddy, so be good and go play, okay?”
“Okay, be careful, Mommy. Scream if anything happens.
We’ll rush over right away to protect you!” With a final glare at Seraphina, Abby left the yard.
After observing Renee briefly, Seraphina figured that she had just been overthinking, and that her eyes were fine.” You’re so happy having your kids and husband with you, huh? It hasn’t even been a year but you’ve conveniently forgotten about our deal.”
Seraphina smacked the table and said to Renee fiercely,” You told me you would let me take good care of Stefan and spend the rest of my life with him. When he was so weak, I took care of him until he got better and resolved all the crises of Hunt Enterprise. Before I could even spend time with him, you snatched him away. Aren’t you going too far? Do you take me for a fool?”
“Calm down.” Renee smiled and said bluntly, “Once I knew that you were wicked enough to mess with Stefan’s brain, I decided that I wouldn’t let you have him. Don’t you see? You did this to yourself.”
“I… I didn’t do anything to his brain. Don’t speak rubbish.” Seraphina’s confidence immediately fizzled out, and anxiety filled her. Only she, Jovan, and the surgeon who did the surgery for Stefan knew about it, so how did Renee find out?
“Don’t deny it. I’ve got a detailed report of Stefan’s brain surgery from Dr. Wagner. Maybe you can have a look at it,” Renee said nonchalantly, crossing her arms.
Seraphina’s eyes widened. “What?”
“Dr. Wagner wanted to send it to Stefan, but he let me read it first because he didn’t want Stefan’s recovery to be affected.” Renee turned to Seraphina and smiled widely. “Do you think I should send it to Stefan?”
