Chapter 370

After having breakfast, Drake drove the luxury RV, fully prepared with a servant, and the whole family headed to the picnic spot. It was a beautiful spring day, and outside the city of Silverbourne, there was a peach blossom village, as the name suggests, filled with vast peach orchards in full bloom.

Jane planned to take the three little ones to the peach blossom village for a picnic and flower viewing. The driver was at the wheel, while Drake accompanied the three little ones and Jane, enjoying a leisurely time inside the RV, leaving all the mundane affairs behind.

At around eleven in the morning, the RV stopped at a place in the peach blossom village specially designed for visitors to enjoy the flowers. As soon as the door opened, the fragrance of peach blossoms rushed in, carrying an intoxicating scent.

The three little ones were thrilled, cheering as they jumped down from the car and smiled brightly at the vast sea of peach blossoms, joyfully playing among the trees.

Jane asked Thea, to take care of the three little ones while she and Drake took out the food they had brought from the car, preparing for lunch.

Working together, they quickly prepared everything. The servant had done a detailed job, providing various drinks, food ingredients, as well as charcoal for grilling and cooking, fully stocked inside the

RV.
The picnic officially began, and the whole family enjoyed the meal joyfully.

They spent a delightful morning, and as the afternoon approached, the three little ones clamored to go to the zoo to see the animals.

Drake and Jane took the three little ones to the zoo. Drake patiently accompanied the children, explaining various animal behaviors, being a responsible and caring father.

Jane accompanied them, attracting envious glances from others, which made her attitude towards

Drake even better.

“Daddy, what’s that? It looks similar to the monkeys we saw earlier,” Zoe pointed at the gorilla inside the enclosure, curiously asking.

“Zoe, this is a gorilla. Although it may resemble a monkey, there are differences between the two,” Drake patiently explained to Zoe, while Zachary and Zane also listened attentively.

After watching the gorilla, they also visited peacocks and other animals. In the evening, they went to the aquarium to see marine creatures and a mermaid performance.

Zoe had unique interests compared to other girls, but she admired the beautiful and mesmerizing mermaids. Besides, Jane had often told them bedtime stories about mermaids, so Zoe was excited to see them in real life. The other two boys, Zachary and Zane, cooperated, showing great interest as well

Drake and Jane stood side by side, both with smiles on their faces, brimming with happiness.

As night fell, the whole family returned home after a full day of fun and excitement. Jane was already exhausted.

However, upon returning home, an unexpected guest greeted them – Courtney, accompanied by a disheveled–looking Marina.

Although Jane had informed Drake about Marina, she didn’t mention anything about Courtney’s actions, afraid that Courtney would think she was trying to report her.

“Drake, come over here!” Upon seeing Drake, Courtney didn’t waste any words and decided to speak with him directly.

Drake didn’t move; he certainly wouldn’t listen to Courtney’s arrangements. Otherwise, he would have married the woman Courtney arranged for him many years ago.

“Mom, just tell me what’s the matter.” Drake’s attitude towards Courtney was still relatively calm.

Courtney sat down on the sofa, her face gloomy. She glanced coldly at Jane and then spoke, regardless of whether the three little ones were present.

“Marina is pregnant with your child. I intend to let her stay in the Warner Crest Estate from today onwards.”

Upon hearing this, both Drake and Jane were slightly stunned, not to mention the three little ones, who were equally shocked.

While they did consider having another sibling, it was certainly not with someone outside their family

“Grandma, what are you saying? She is a bad woman; how could she have Daddy’s child?” Zachary immediately jumped up and questioned her.

Meeting Zachary’s gaze, Courtney also felt a bit guilty. However, considering that Zachary had become less obedient towards her since Jane’s return, Courtney’s heart once again hardened.

“You are just a child; you don’t understand anything. Take your siblings back to your rooms,” Courtney

said in a low voice.

How could Zachary leave at a time like this? Until the matter was clarified, he wouldn’t leave.

“Daddy, what’s going on? Have you done something wrong to Mommy?” Zachary directly confronted

his father.

Drake had already regained his senses. After going through the unpleasant experiences with Marina, he understood that she was a shameless person. Dealing with her required no restraint, and besides, he had already discussed this matter with Jane. They had cleared up the misunderstandings between them, and Marina couldn’t use that incident to threaten her anymore.

“Forget about it, you’re the one who came to me willingly, shameless woman!” The fact that Drake could speak harsh words showed just how much he loathed Marina’s behavior.

After the torment and ridicule from the three little ones yesterday, Marina was somewhat timid, and she could only hide behind Courtney.

“Madam, Mr. Warner doesn’t like me, so he won’t acknowledge the child in my belly. I think I’ll leave.” Marina pretended to be soft and pitiful.

“Leave? Starting from today, you’ll be staying at the Warner Crest Estate, protected by me. Let’s see who dares to touch you.” Courtney looked at Jane with a gloomy expression, recalling the scene when Jane drove them out of the Warner Crest Estate last time.

This time, her son was present, so she wanted to see who would dare to drive them away.

Jane remained indifferent, standing on the side. She didn’t care about Courtney’s antics. With Drake present, she left the handling of the matter entirely to him.

“Mom, she said she’s pregnant with my child, but do you believe her just like that? Besides, do you think I need another child from someone outside our family? Don’t you think having three grandchildren is enough, let alone bringing an illegitimate child into our lives?” Drake’s tone was now firm, and he couldn’t understand why his mother would be so easily swayed by Marina’s words.

Hearing Drake’s words, Courtney’s expression wavered. She couldn’t help but wonder if Marina had been lying to her all along. However, the resentment she felt towards Jane made her want to believe in Marina’s story.

“You don’t understand, Drake. She told me everything, and I believe her,” Courtney said stubbornly.
