“Who’s that? Who said that?”
“Who is it?”
Everyone glanced around. They were wondering who’d dare challenge the undefeated Hubert.
A man popped out from the crowd! It was none other than Chuck! How could Chuck give up on this match so easily? He then stepped forward and walked into the ring! The audience began discussing loudly! But they were filled with contempt and mockery!
”F*ck! I was wondering who it was! Turns out it’s that sneaky dog!”
”It’s really him! God, is he kidding? He launched a sneak attack on the girl now he wants to pull the same old trick on Hubert? And he wants to defeat Hubert? There is not much between his ears, huh.”
”He is definitely stupid for challenging Hubert!” No one had expected Chuck to enter the ring!
”Does he have a death wish?” Liliana was stunned! She was already prepared to lose her reputation this time. Why did Chuck have to make things worse? Was he tired of living? Was he seeking death?
Gaige was bewildered as well. ”This dumbass had finally outplayed his madness for victory now. With his level, how did he bring himself to go into the ring!”
”I think he is looking for death. It’s fine actually, we don’t need to be bothered if he wants to throw his life away!” Liliana said in a mocking tone.
”Hey, Tessa, wake up! That Chuck, who launched a sneak attack on you just now, is going to fight Hubert! He is not afraid of death!” The unconscious Tessa began to stir. She mumbled, ”Chuck is going to fight Hubert? Are you kidding me? Even a fool wouldn’t do that. It’s suicide!”
”See for yourself!” Tessa’s pretty gaze fell upon Chuck who was walking up into the ring. She was stunned and said scornfully, ”Dream on! That guy dares to sneak and attack Hubert? Hubert is way beyond my level, he would easily destroy that guy!”
All of a sudden, she felt invigorated. Tessa had been furious at Chuck’s sneak attack on her. But this time, Hubert could avenge her! She was ready to watch a thrilling show of Chuck’s defeat!
The audience did not think highly of Chuck. They all thought that he was signing up for his own death! Miss Scarlet, the host of this competition, also felt the same way! She had readied herself to announce the results, but little did she expect Chuck would interrupt her halfway!
”This student is a combat expert as he has a steady step and his breathing is well regulated. However, compared to a student like Hubert, there still exists a huge disparity in strength! Furthermore… his character is frowned upon. He launched a sneak attack in order to win, yet he still wants to repeat it?” Miss Scarlet commented. She did not hold Chuck in high regard at all!
”Oh, you said you want to try?” Hubert shrugged his shoulders. Hubert had watched how Chuck had launched a sneak attack on a girl earlier. Hence, Hubert felt that Chuck was a shameless man and an unworthy opponent.
”Yes, I do!” Chuck stepped forward.
”All right, I accept the challenge from all the new students, including you!” Hubert was not bothered. For him, it was only a matter of a single punch!
”Alright! Glad that you accept it! Let’s get started!” Chuck said.
”No problem, I’ll allow you to make the first move!”
Chuck walked over as if he was unfazed! He paced toward Hubert with an extreme calmness.
”Huh, I think, Hubert can defeat him with just one punch!”
”That goes without saying! The one who fought with Hubert just now was taken down with a single punch. I reckon that this guy who played foul wants to be knocked out by Hubert as well.”
The freshmen had already predicted the result of the competition. Obviously, Hubert would defeat Chuck with a single punch. He would get first place easily! As for Chuck, he would be wiped out with a single punch and lose the competition!
Miss Scarlet was not in the mood to watch the competition. She was already ready to announce the result. When faced with such a powerful opponent as Hubert, Chuck would not stand a chance.
Chuck closed in on Hubert and the latter was just at arm’s length now! But he did not make a move! Hubert smiled and said, ”I don’t know what you’re trying to do, but it’s very dangerous to come so close to me!”
Chuck mirrored his smile! ”Idiot, why isn’t he taking any action?”
”Is he waiting for Hubert to make a move first? What’s in his dumbass mind?” The audience was in a state of chaos.
Hubert frowned and said, ”Forget it. Don’t waste my time. Goodbye!” Was he trying to knock Chuck out with his fist?!
Bam! Unexpectedly, Chuck did not dodge, nor did he move. Instead, he took in Hubert’s punch!
”We’re right, aren’t we? He’s knocked out by a single punch!”
”This is simply a waste of our time!”
However… Chuck suddenly retreated! To everyone’s surprise, he did not look like he was in a miserable state and there was no blood spurting from his mouth. He moved ten meters away, then he straightened his body and stood still! Step by step, he began to walk toward Hubert!
The audience burst into an uproar!
”What? Shouldn’t he have passed out after receiving a punch from Hubert? How can he still walk? Did I imagine that?”
”No, you’re not. I did not expect his endurance to be this good. But, still, he is a foolish man. Why would he just allow Hubert to punch him like that? And now he is walking toward Hubert again to receive another punch? What is he, if not a fool!”
No one could read Chuck’s intention! After their initial surprise, they were brimming with contempt.
Miss Scarlett looked up and caught a glimpse of Chuck. She was slightly stunned. ”The force of Hubert’s punch weighs at least 500 pounds. How… how could that guy take it all in? What does he plan to do now?” Miss Scarlett could not wrap her head around this.
”Gaige, what is he planning to do?” Liliana was anxious. She was utterly surprised to see Chuck still fine after the punch! Other freshmen could certainly not be alright, for they would be completely knocked out after the punch! However, Chuck had taken Hubert’s punch without even trying to defend himself.
Had Chuck lost his mind? ”Who knows? I did not expect this kid to be quite strong. But it’s a pity. If only by strength alone, it is impossible for him to defeat Hubert! After all, Hubert is still behaving rationally,” Gaige said. He could only ridicule Chuck’s behavior.
”Oh, you can still stand after receiving my punch? Not bad!” Hubert shrugged his shoulders and gave Chuck a surprised look.
”I want to fight you fairly!” Chuck said in a calm voice.
”Oh, what do you mean?” Hubert narrowed his eyes!
”You fought a few people just now and depleted a bit of your strength. Now that I’ve received one of your punches, it means our strength is balanced. Therefore, when I win, it will be fair. Now we can officially commence our combat!” Chuck’s eyes sparkled. As it was not easy to meet a worthy opponent, Chuck decided he should show some respect to Hubert!
