Chuck, Yolanda, Nancy and Betty had finished their meal. They discussed the business plan for the future while eating. Zabrina’s performance in that particular movie had been much better than all her previous acts. Consequently, her acting skills were commended by many. That movie transformed Zabrina from an online celebrity to a real actor. Her wish came true as well.
Through that literary film, she won her first best actress award. That award only propelled her popularity. Hence, requesting her participation in the advertisement filming was just perfect. Soon, it was the day of the press conference.
Chuck saw Zabrina backstage. Clad in a gown, her beauty was simply immaculate. As the spokesman of the medicinal products, Yolanda’s appearance and physique was attractive in its own right too.
Hence, Zabrina, Yolanda and Nancy became the center of everyone’s attention. As Zabrina was a famous celebrity, many reporters showed up although Yolanda had not invited them. The headlines of the news on the next day would all be about Zabrina’s endorsement of the medicine.
“Long time no see.” Zabrina took the initiative to greet Chuck. When Yolanda approached her to shoot an advertisement, she was very surprised because she didn’t know that Chuck had started to produce medicine. More surprising was the fact that the medicine had been inherited from his family. She was curious about how many industries Chuck was involved in. “Yeah, long time no see,” responded Chuck to Zabrina’s greeting. Although there had been discord between the two of them in the past, Chuck had matured. He didn’t care about it anymore. Moreover, Zabrina even endorsed his medicine, successfully vanquishing the unpleasant matters of the past.
Zabrina beamed at him. Then, Chuck and Zabrina chatted for a while. During their conversation, he asked her about her recent activities, inquiring mostly about her recent schedule. As she was the most popular celebrity at the moment, her schedule must have been fully occupied since long ago. Perhaps, even her schedule next year was fully occupied.
Chuck felt that the film industry seemed to be faring well recently. Hence, he was planning to cooperate with a special effects company in the United States to film a superheroine movie. His reason for that was because superhero movies were very popular recently.
Since Willa owned an international movie company, she could easily contact the special effects company in the United States. As long as the plot and the special effects were decent, the box office would be secured as long as they hired the most popular actor.
He could even plan out a series that would last for the next ten years! That idea sprung up in Chuck’s mind. In the aspect of investment, Chuck would give a sufficient amount.
“Are you inviting me to film a movie?” Zabrina grinned, understanding Chuck’s intention.
“Do you have the time?” Chuck shrugged his shoulders.
“No. After I won the best actress award, my schedule has been booked until the year after next. I have agreed to film eight movies. There are more than 180 scripts for me to look through. Thus, I am very busy,” replied Zabrina, giggling.
“Uh, okay then!”
“However, you can tell me what movie you are going to invest in. If I think it’s suitable for me, I can put the rest aside.” Once again, Zabrina beamed at him.
Chuckling, Chuck told her his ten-years plan.
Instantly, Zabrina’s beautiful eyes lit up. “Really? You‘re going to invest in such a movie?”
“Well! In ten years, or even twenty years!” Chuck was confident that he could continue that series. The box office would definitely increase.
“Okay,” Zabrina agreed. She enjoyed watching superhero movies and she had often imagined herself acting in that genre. However, she could not get a good script nor an investor. Therefore, she had been very distressed over that matter.
“Yes, I’ll get someone to discuss the details of the movie, the pay and the contract with you,” Chuck added.
”That’s not important. What‘s important is, I will be the heroine!” Zabrina grinned. She had faith that Chuck would not mistreat her in other work-related manners.
”Well, it’s not wise to trust people so easily. I could be cheating you,” warned Chuck, guffawing.
”Then let it be, I don’t mind!” Zabrina shook her head. Anyway, she had been paid quite a large sum for endorsing his product this time around.
”Zabrina, who is he?” A man clad in a suit ran over. He was Zabrina’s manager.
”You are Zabrina’s manager, right?” Chuck thought that it was better to make it clear.
”Yes, I am the one and only one. My name is Hadley Cannon!” He inserted himself in front of Zabrina, blocking her path. As a manager, he had to deal with everything for the celebrity.
”Well, I want to invite Zabrina to film a movie.” Chuck shrugged his shoulders.
”Film a movie? I don’t know you. Which movie company are you from? What about the script? Why didn’t you show it to me in advance?” Hadley spat coldly.
”Uh, the script is not ready yet. It’s an idea that just entered my mind just now. It’s a superhero movie…”
”You don’t even have the script, yet you’re talking about a collaboration? Are you new to the industry? You’re so unprofessional!” Hadley impatiently retorted. He even wanted to laugh! A superhero movie? That required a large sum of investment on the scripts, directors, as well as the special effects. Was the man before him planning to produce a low budget film? Wouldn’t that ruin Zabrina’s reputation?
”Zabrina, I have read a few scripts for you. The company has asked them to get the contract ready. This person is too unreliable. Just reject him!” Hadley commanded in an authoritative tone. As a manager, he had a lot of power.
”He’s very reliable! He…” Zabrina shook her head in anger. She had always wanted to fire Hadley but it was not up to her as she had signed a contract with the company. He had been arranged to be her manager by the company and she could not refuse.
”Zabrina, there are a lot of frauds nowadays! You have to be careful! The company asked me to make arrangements. Thus, you have to listen to me!” Hadley even mentioned the company.
”I…” Zabrina did not know what to say.
”Go away! Zabrina won’t cooperate with you just because of a mere idea!” Hadley drove Chuck away.
”It may just be an idea for now, but I can hire first-class scriptwriters, directors and secure a large investment. This film will be successful!” Chuck explained. He could get the best script writer and directors by making a phone call to Willa. With the addition of the best actors and special effects, why wouldn’t the movie be successful?
”Stop talking, you are an agent from a small company, right? Are you trying to poach? No way! Go away! Don’t delay Zabrina from attending her endorsement event,” Hadley hissed coldly.
”Isn’t he just someone from a small company? How dare he talk about getting a large investment? How shameful!” Hadley thought to himself.
