”Did you really not shoot me?” Sabina asked with an agonizing expression.
Chuck had his hands wrapped around her neck, cutting off her air supply. At that very moment, she was extremely close to dying. Her current situation was more dire than all the previous times.
”Answer me and let me die knowing the truth!” Sabina’s face was turning red from suffocation.
”I did not shoot you! I went to save you but you slaughtered my mother, Willia and…”

”You don’t believe me? Fine, I’ll prove it to you.” Sabina suddenly raised her hand. A loud gunshot cut through the air. From afar, a bullet flew towards Chuck. It buried itself into the ground, forming a pit. Then, a red dot appeared between Chuck’s eyebrows. A sniper had been pointing his gun at Chuck all this while. However, Sabina had not instructed him to fire at Chuck.
”While you were kicking me around, I could have told him to shoot you. But I didn’t. Because I want to get to the bottom of this.” Sabina coughed and continued, ”If I am the person who killed Karen then I would have let the sniper end your life when you were punching me around.”
”You think he can hit me?” Chuck asked indifferently.
”He can try. I didn’t kill Karen. I didn’t,” Sabina coughed and forced out the sentence.
Chuck’s eyes sparkled. ”No? Why should I believe you?”
”Simple. It’s exactly like how I believe that you didn’t shoot me. Please put yourself in my shoes.” Sabina’s anger and lividness had vanished. It was just like their first meeting where she had treated Chuck to a meal. Within a night, they got close to each other. Just like that, they became friends overnight.
Chuck was Sabina’s first friend, her first true friend. Sabina felt at ease. Even if they shared the same bed, Sabina had no worries. She was not afraid that something might happen while they shared the same bed because she treated him as her own sibling.
”No. If you didn’t kill them, then who did?” Chuck spat coldly. His hand continued to exert force on her neck.
”Among the three hidden families, excluding me, who do you think is capable of such a thing? Have you thought about this possibility?”
”Adriana! I went to find her, but she wasn’t the killer.”
”No. Is it because I admitted it, hence you stop suspecting her anymore?”
Chuck was silent for a moment. Yes, it was because Sabina had admitted that she was the killer. As a result, it wiped away all suspicions Chuck had about Adriana.
”You are the prime suspect because you think that I am the one who shot you.”
”Yes, I thought so, but do you think I would be so cruel to murder Karen and kill everyone dearest to you? Do you think it’s possible? Karen spared my life once so I won’t kill her. Don’t you understand?” Sabina answered truthfully. Despite the fact that Sabina tried to plot against Chuck, it was the truth. Karen had indeed spared Sabina’s life previously. Given Sabina’s personality, she felt that she owed Karen a favor for having spared her life. Although Sabina was cruel, she had moments of compassion and empathy.
”You’re trying to deceive me!”
”I’m not. You didn’t suspect Adriana and you kept accusing me over the phone. Thus, I got furious and said that I killed her. Is this enough now? ”Not necessarily,” said Chuck. His reply was followed closely by another gunshot. The bullet was shot from another source. And it hit a spot. The red dot aimed between his Chuck’s eyebrows wavered. It was because Betty finally jumped into action and found the sniper who had his aim on Chuck.
”And, if you kill me, you’ll die too.” Chuck knew what was going on. He had planned everything beforehand. If he were to die, Sabina had to die with him. That was because Chuck had a ton of bombs in his hands.
”You have really changed. You are as smart as Karen,” Sabina replied. ”But despite that, you just won’t believe me. I even believed you but you won’t believe me…”
All of a sudden, Chuck let go of her. Upon her release, Sabina coughed.

”Now you believe me? Adriana is the mastermind behind all of this. She planned everything from the start,” Sabina said. Sabina was already looking much better. She was in a good mood because her only friend who understood her was still her friend. He just misunderstood her…

”She killed my mother, Willia, Black Rose and Yvette!” Chuck cried. At that moment, he was filled with rage. It turned out that he had made a mistake all along.
