Meanwhile, in the Whitlock family home, Yvette stared coldly at Adriana with her fatigued eyes. ”It turns out that everything happened because of her,” Yvette murmured internally. She had been kidnapped by Eleanor and brought to the Whitlock family. Finally, she was hit with the truth.
With a nonchalant smirk, Adriana began, ”Initially, I didn’t want to do anything to you. If you were just a little smarter, you would’ve left Chuck. I might consider sparing your life, but now, you are here because you are too dumb. Do you know that?”
Eleanor had a faint grin on her face as she watched from aside. It was just a walk in the park bringing Yvette here.
”Kill me,” Yvette muttered with her eyes shut. Eleanor was simply too strong. At that moment, Yvette hated Eleanor so much that she wanted to kill her. It would be revenge for Karen. However, she was not strong enough. She had died the moment she was brought there. Nevertheless, Yvette was never afraid of dying. The only thing she felt was remorse. As Chuck’s wife, she did not bear him a child.
”Don’t worry. You’ll die. I won’t let you live.” A relaxed grin spread across Adriana’s lips.
”What are you trying to do?” Yvette was livid and fuming.
Adriana mused on that question.
”What is it?”
With a slight smirk, Adriana replied, “Yvette, I won’t hide anything from you. I must say, I am curious about you. Do you know what I am curious about?”
”I don’t want to know.” Yvette’s cold and beautiful eyes glittered.
”Slap her!” A cold ray of light flashed in Adriana’s beautiful eyes. Eleanor slapped Yvette. It filled the room with a loud, crisp sound. Yvette’s cheeks turned red and swollen and the corners of her mouth were bleeding, but her gaze was still filled with cold fury.
”You’d better be obedient here. I’ll ask you again. Do you want to know what I’m curious about?” Adriana asked again.
”No, I don’t.”
Once again, a loud sound cut through the air. Eleanor smiled as she slapped Yvette for the second time. The force was so great that the second slap made Yvette pass out. Splash! A bucket of water was splashed over Yvette.
After regaining her consciousness, Yvette declared, ”If you dare lay your hands on Chuck, I’m not letting you go, not even in the afterlife.”
”You won’t let me go, even if you are in the afterlife? I’m so scared! Do you know how many people I can kill with just one order?” Adriana smirked, as she didn’t care about Yvette’s warning. ”I’m curious why Chuck likes you. What’s so interesting about you? In terms of physique. I’m better than you in terms of appearance. What does he like about you?” Adriana asked with a smile.
Yvette glared at her stonily. ”There are some things that you will never understand.”
”No, there’s nothing in this world that I don’t understand.” Adriana grinned. She laid lazily on the sofa.
”What about kindness? What about not killing innocent people? Do you understand that?” Yvette questioned indifferently.
”Do I need to understand these things? You have no idea what I’m going to do next. I’m going to destroy the Cannon and the Yeager family. Then the Whitlock family will be the only hidden family in this world. The entire world will belong to me! So, why would I need to understand that?” Adriana retorted disdainfully.
”That’s why my husband…”
”Give her a slap!!” Adriana glowered with cold fury! The sharp noise cut through the air. Eleanor slapped Yvette once again.
”From the moment I laid my eyes on Chuck, he stopped being your husband. Can you still not understand this?” Adriana warned her stonily.
”He’s not.”
”I say yes, he is mine. He will come and beg me soon. I will give him the best things in the world. Can you offer him these things? I can. I can give him all the wealth in this world. Can you? All men like this, Chuck is not an exception.” Adriana was obviously full of confidence.
”He will rely on himself, not you.” Yvette shook her head. ”I know him. He won’t live off a woman. He’ll never need your financial support!”
”He has no choice. Soon, the world will be mine. He can only come under my watch. Oh, you don’t even understand what I’m saying.”
”I don’t need to understand.”
”You won’t understand either. You are just someone from the slums. Do you think that because your family is worth tens of millions of dollars, you are very powerful? In my eyes, you are a beggar. Do you know that?” Adriana smirked slightly.
”What do you plan to do to Chuck?” Yvette wanted to know before she died. Otherwise, she would die with regrets.
”Why should I do anything to him? He is my future husband and I will only give him the best.” Adriana seemed to have fantasized about her life after getting married to Chuck.
”Impossible. Have you ever thought of what would happen when Chuck finds out that you are the person who killed his mother? How is he going to react?”
”I haven’t thought about this. Do you know why? Because he will never know.” Adriana boasted confidently.
”He will find out.” Yvette shook her head.
”Slap her!”
Slap! Yet again, Eleanor slapped Yvette. Blood flowed from the corner of Yvette’s mouth. However, she was not afraid and her beautiful eyes were still blinking with life.
”I said that he won’t know, so he won’t know! Do you understand? You can’t possibly understand. It’s getting boring. I have no interest in talking to you anymore. Eleanor, look after her. I’m going to look for Chuck and see what he is up to…”
”Adriana, stop right there!” Yvette was struggling to get out. When Eleanor grabbed Yvette’s neck, Adriana said with a smile, ”Don’t choke her too hard. She’s a vulnerable piece of trash that can be easily killed. I don’t want her to die so soon.” Before she finished speaking, a man came in to inform, ”Miss, someone wants to see you.”
”Who is it?” Adriana shrugged.
”He said his name is Chuck.”
With a smile in her beautiful eyes, Adriana said, “Oh, he has finally come looking for me. Invite him in!”
