On that day, the entire world would be peaceful and quiet. However, the greatest family of all, the Whitlock family, had decorated their house extravagantly. Never in history had there been a wedding so grand. It was simply beyond imagination. Adriana’s wedding was about to happen.
”Miss Whitlock!” All the members of the Whitlock family treated her with utmost respect. ”Is everyone here?” Adriana was wearing the most expensive wedding gown in the entire world. Using the most luxurious material, the best designers tailor-made each and every piece of clothing of hers. Adriana was exceptionally gorgeous on that day. ”It’s almost time. Sabina is here,” someone informed.
”How many people did she invite?” Adriana queried.
”Five people including Sabina.”
”Only five people? What about the Cannon family?”
”The Cannon family hasn’t arrived yet… Oh, they are here. Osford brought three people.”
”Oh, I see.” Adriana stared at herself in the mirror. She realized that she was exceptionally gorgeous that day.
”Miss Whitlock, please carry on. We will only return when it’s time for you to show yourself.”
”How is Chuck doing? Today, I will be the most beautiful person there and I want my man to also be the most good looking one.”
”Miss Whitlock, don’t worry. Chuck has ten stylists attending to him. He will be the most handsome person present.”
”Then go ahead.” Adriana continued staring at the mirror.
”Miss Whitlock.” Eleanor was by her side.
”What?”
”All the guards are stationed. The entire place is under surveillance. You can relax.” Eleanor smirked. She was proficient in that aspect. There had never been any problem with the safety of the Whitlock family. It was the fruit of Eleanor and the bodyguards of the Whitlock family’s labor.
”Relax? I’ve always been at ease, but don’t forget that you disappointed me last time. Have you forgotten?” Adriana was lazily putting on lipstick. There was only one stylist with her and no makeup artist. She was a natural beauty and all she needed was just some lipstick.
Eleanor fell silent for a moment. ”I have personally hunted down the person who rescued Willa and Black Rose but…”
”But you haven’t found that person, right?” Adriana suddenly became livid.
”Yes, I haven’t found that person yet…”
”Since that person could slip past your fingers, they must be at least as strong as you. Today is my big day, so I don’t want any hiccups.”
”Yes, Miss Whitlock, be rest assured. I’ll personally monitor the entire place.”
”Don’t disappoint me again.” Adriana continued to put on her lipstick. Her lips were scarlet red. She yearned to have control, just like a queen.
”Yes, Miss Whitlock. I won’t disappoint you.” Eleanor lowered her head. The person who rescued Willia and Black Rose never showed themselves after that incident. Who on earth was it? Did a person as skilled as Eleanor exist?
”However, Miss Whitlock, wasn’t it a little too sudden when Chuck proposed to you?” Eleanor questioned.
”Yes, it was a little too sudden. No matter what he’s thinking, he’ll be my man after today. As my man, he won’t betray me,” Adriana replied dismissively as usual. That was right. Given Adriana’s ability to manipulate, was there anything Chuck could do? He could only obediently obey her wishes.
”Chuck has nothing now. Karen is dead, Willa is dead, Black Rose is dead and Yvette is about to die. He is all alone and in an effort to seek revenge, he can only look to me,” Adriana explained.

Eleanor left the room while Adriana turned to face the mirror. She wiped off the lipstick she had just applied, took out another bright red lipstick and applied that. With a light smirk, Adriana decided, ”This suits me.”
”Chuck, it’s about time. How are you feeling?” Eleanor went to inquire about Chuck. Clad in a dashing suit and sporting a neat hairstyle, Chuck looked handsome. After staring at him for a moment, Eleanor decided he looked good. At least Adriana had a keen eye when it came to men as Chuck was a fine candidate.
”Okay, I’m ready,” he said.
”Alright then. Someone will bring you in before noon. Just follow them.” With that, Eleanor turned to leave.
”Eleanor.”
”Yes?” Eleanor enquired with a smile.
Chuck approached her, step by step and asked, “Who do you think is the most skilled martial artist in this world?”
”I’m not certain. Why do you ask? Do you want to be the best martial artist in the world?” Eleanor asked.
”I want to defeat the ruling best martial artist. I want to become a top martial artist.”
”Oh, do you mean that you’re trying to defeat me?” Eleanor’s beautiful eyes twinkled in amusement.
”Yes.”
”Young Master Cannon, you don’t have to defeat me. I’m your wife’s subordinate and this makes you the best martial artist. You can even be the wealthiest man in this world. Just carry on and keep an eye on the time. Today is your big day!” Then smiling faintly, Eleanor strode out of the room.
”No, it’s Adriana’s big day.” Chuck, dressed in a suit, muttered to himself.
