Chapter 901
That was what Chuck thought. His mother had lived a pitiful life. She even ended up assassinated. Chuck’s heart was filled with grief. Initially, he was comforted that he still had a relative. However, it turned out that his biological father was no father at all. Was he worthy of being Chuck’s dad? The emotion Chuck was experiencing was simply indescribable. At the moment, disappointment engulfed him.
”Chuck, you can’t say that, you…” Something within Chuck snapped. Clenching his fists, he shouted in a horrifying tone, ”Stop talking!”
Xandra was dumbfounded by the look of Chuck’s gaze. ”Alright, I’ll stop but you can’t kill us. I am your aunt!”
”No, you are strangers to me. You must die today. Your family has taken advantage of my mother for far too long. All of you are going to the afterlife to apologize to her!” With that, Chuck began to choke Xandra.
”Don’t kill me! Don’t kill me. I am your aunt, your dear aunt!” Xandra shrieked with fear.
Osford sighed as he knew it would be futile. Nonetheless, he did not expect to die in Chuck’s hands. In his eyes, Chuck was just a disposable pawn.
”No, Chuck, please don’t. I don’t want to die. Help, I can’t breathe. It’s terrible…” Xandra slowly began to lose hope. She could feel that Chuck’s strong grip was about to snap her neck.
But all of a sudden… Chuck stopped. He turned his head, his expression a frigid mask of gloom. “How dare you show yourself in front of me?” A man had appeared. Yes, it was Chadrick. He walked over slowly.
Sabina’s subordinates moved to restrain him but she gestured them to stay put. Walking up to them, Chadrick asked, ”So you know everything?”
”I know, I know what you’ve done. I am grieving for my mother. She treated you so well, but you took advantage of her and in the end, you sent her to her death. You’re too cruel!” Chuck was terrifyingly ferocious. After all, he was boiling with rage.
Chadrick was silent for a moment. “I-I’m sorry about her. However, the woman in your hands is my sister and also your aunt…”
”No! No!” Chuck bellowed in fury.
Chadrick quietly said, ”Just let them go, then you can do whatever you want.”
”Whatever I want? My mother was assassinated. You should personally apologize to her!” Chuck roared.
”I will. You can be rest assured that I’ll do that. Just let them go. I beg you. If your mother is alive she will definitely let them go.”
”You don’t have the right to talk about her anymore. No more!”
”Yes, you’re right.”
”Help, I’m choking!” Xandra cried. “Chadrick, tell your son to let me go. I don’t want to die.”
”Xandra, let him make his own decision.” Chadrick replied calmly.
Meanwhile, Sabina remained silent as it was Chuck’s personal matter.
Chuck squeezed Xandra’s neck tightly. Although he really wanted to break it, he suddenly sneered when he looked at his so-called father. Then, a loud thud was heard. Just like that, Chuck flung Xandra away. Xandra was scared. She fell to the ground and fainted.
”You, I have nothing to do with you from now on. I will never see you again!” After saying that, Chuck left. Sabina followed suit and so did the members of the Yeager family.
Chadrick fell silent for a long time before he forced out a bitter laugh. ”Chadrick, this son of yours is outrageous. I’m going to kill him!” Osford was fuming. He had to think of a way to regain his pride. Chuck, the little bastard who was born by Karen. He was going to kill him!
”Enough!” Chadrick shouted stonily. Osford was horrified. ”Chadrick, how dare you speak to me in this manner? You…”
”Grandpa, all this while, I have been listening to you but now I regret it. You were not willing to spare me nor Karen. You are the cause of her death. Do you know that?” Chadrick was in agonizing pain.
”You have to know that she was a pawn. She…” Osford was furious.
”She might be just a pawn to you but she was my wife! You won’t understand!” Chadrick suddenly spat.
”Chadrick, you are misbehaving! You are the successor of the Cannon family. How can you speak to me like this over a dead woman?” Osford was heartbroken.
”Grandpa, take care of yourself. I’m leaving!”
”Chadrick, what are you doing?” Osford had a bad feeling.
”I’m going to do what I should have done. I’m in debt to her and I’m not certain that she would forgive me… I don’t know if she would forgive me,” Chadrick muttered. Karen was already dead, so the only way he could meet her was to die. And then he could apologize to her.
”Chadrick, do you hear yourself? Bastard!” Osford was so furious that he wanted to slap Chadrick.
”Grandpa, I have to repay what I owe her, or else it’s meaningless for me to continue living.” Chadrick shook his head.
”You’re going to look for Adriana yourself? Are you even her match? You’re going to die. You’re the heir of the Cannon family. If you dare to go, I’ll die in front of you!” Osford was exasperated. He thought too highly of Chadrick. He was the only one who could be the successor of the Cannon family.
”Grandpa, I’m sorry. There are some things that I have to do.” Chadrick shook his head and left.
Osford was stupefied. “Bastard, what’s so good about Karen? Is she worth dying for?”
”You don’t understand her. Over the past twenty years, I came to understand her,” Chadrick muttered to himself as he thought of Karen.
